Wayne and I decided to take the trip from North Platte to Phoenix at spring break time since we did not get to
make the trip at Christmas due to my husband's shoulder surgery. So we set out on March 19, late in
the day as is our custom and drove as far as Denver, where we camped for the night. We had wanted to
camp on the west side of Denver but there were not any just on the other side so we used the campground to the

east of Denver near the airport.

We wanted to travel interstate 70 the next day so we could see the mountains in the daytime. There was still
snow in the mountains, and the ski areas were quite busy even though the snow was beginning to get a bit slushy.

I took some pictures as we went through the mountains.

Our dog Beryl did not want to do her duties at this snowy rest area.
